Artist's Note:

During the cold, dark, miserable winter weather here in Scotland I really wanted to spend time painting something sunny and happy. I’ve also been keen to paint water, as I find the colour shifts and fluid nature of it fascinating. When I found this little pig looking so happy on a photograph by Forest Simon I knew it was the right one to go for. I have discovered through this that I really do enjoy painting water, so expect to do more of it in the future. This project has also marked the start of me being able to actually record the process, something I intend to do on all projects that I can do going forward.

I’m not sure exactly what kind of pig this is, but I’d like to think it is off enjoying a holiday somewhere nice.
